Beginning and birthing new things

Have you felt like you have been “birthing” something this year and the feeling has intensified this month? I know it sounds strange but I feel that in the spirit November had been declared a month of birthing. Birthing, bringing forth, bearing, beginning, pioneering, origin, start, founding, commence, formation, dawn.

So I encourage you to reflect on the dreams that have been stirring on your heart this year and especially in this month of November; the God-whispers, the things you have wept over and the heart-felt prayers that felt too deep for words. What have you groaned or travailed over? What gave you great joy and hope?

As we enter December treasure the whispers and the dreams and ask God to give you strategy for implementation. Sometimes what you carried and birthed is for something you must now nurture to maturity; perhaps a new Kingdom project or ministry or business. Sometimes it is for more than you- for a people, even a generation.

It is important that you now take time to be with God and ask Him for specifics: for first steps, blueprints, clarity where you are only seeing dimly, wisdom for how to do things differently and the courage to do it.

God is faithful to plant dreams and desires in us and to help us both individually and corporately to bring these to the time of fruition.
“Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?” says the LORD (Isaiah 66:9).

2018 will see us walking out some of what is now being dreamed. I believe that the time between birthing and walking it out is accelerated. But of course we know one thing for sure, that this must all happen from our place of intimacy with God.

Without the intimacy we will not be able to know His voice or sustain what we will have been entrusted with. There are going to be things pioneered or “birthed” now, that have never been seen or experienced in that way before.

Some are afraid to trust and step out of the boat onto the water, but to be with Him is the safest place of all. He is able to catch you.

He is calling us to the place of adventure and the joy of being fully alive as we walk in step with Him. Our hearts explode with joy knowing His thoughts toward us are so good. The lies of the enemy are being exposed for what they are and many are awakening to the amazing truth of Papa’s love and Papa’s delight to give us the Kingdom (Luke 12:32).

He is the GOOD Father, the dream-giver and the faithful restorer. In some of your dreams are the beginnings of a great work of restoration for those who have suffered injustice. In your dreams are the keys that open prison gates and provide food for the hungry. In the loss that you have mourned without losing your hope in Him, is coming authority to undo the works of darkness and bring healing to many. In your joy is resurrection power. In your hope against all hope, dawn breaks for someone and a new beginning is given voice.

In His eternal plan is written a story about us- a generation who will declare that it is finished.

We will not stop dreaming or pioneering. We have only just begun.
